updates. The release of Penguin, Panda and now Pigeon update led Humming Bird
take a flight away. With the release of these Google updates, SEO professionals
need to step up and embrace a sturdy way as their “gray-hat” tactics will no
longer work. SEO as a profession will continue, but the rules have now become
more complex, more accuracy is required and the content must be unique.
The Google’s latest update as released on July 24th
is named Pigeon. It provide a more useful, relevant and accurate local
search results that are tied more closely to traditional web search ranking signals.
This update does not cause any impact on local search results rankings and website optimization
services as done by Google Panda Update. This new algorithm improves
Google’s distance and location ranking parameters. Google claimed the new
search algorithm would provide more relevant and accurate results, and would be
applied to both web search and map search. Digital Marketing Agencies
were not mush affected by this update.
Whether or not Google Pigeon has made any changes to your
website or your keywords rankings, following things must be followed to avoid
these types of alterations:

- You should be optimizing your content for your local area (include city/state in title tags, H1s, content, alt tags, etc.)

- You should be working to collect positive reviews from customers
